The primary focus of the WES Foundation is to fund Leukemia Research. First and foremost our efforts to solicit, invest and distribute funds will be for that purpose, however, as a 501c3 tax-deductible charity we are able to broaden that scope within reason for specific contributions to other causes.
Claude Smith Legacy Art Fund –
Claude
Smith, Wes’ uncle, a talented artist in the Greenville, SC area,
passed away the year before Wes. Claude had suffered from Hodgkin’s
disease, diabetes and esophageal cancer. Before his death, he was very
active within the arts and cultural community in South Carolina.
In an effort to maintain the artistic legacy of Claude Smith, the WES Foundation
is establishing a separate fund for supporting the arts in and around Greenville
and Atlanta. Only funds earmarked for the Claude Smith Legacy Art Fund
will be contributed to those efforts. Checks should be written to the When
Everyone Survives Foundation with Claude Smith Legacy Art Fund in the “For”
box of the check. Or, simply click on our LifeGuard secure
web page and follow the directions.
Faith Based Initiatives -
Wes was a spiritual individual. He believed that we had less to do with our lives than what a power greater than we had preordained. For that reason, and in keeping with what Wes’ wishes would have been, funds separately delineated for contribution to genuine, verifiable and certified religious organizations will be accepted and redistributed to those efforts. In doing so, it is hopeful that the When Everyone Survives Foundation can continue with Wes’ work to assure all a place in eternity with him.
